Just wanted to let you know I’ll be playing a show in early October. Looks like a pretty good line-up:
Greg MacPherson (Winnipeg-based singer songwriter)
Willie Stratton (Halifax-based singer/songwriter)
Heartbreak A Stranger
Saturday, October 4 at The Company House, Halifax
I’ll be the first on stage so I would guess around 9:30pm. I’ll play a solo electric set. Looking forward to play electric versions of new/older songs. Perhaps come a little early and make it a full night of tunes.
I’ll be playing some free tunes this Friday, July 25. 5:30-7:30pm. Sponsored by The North End Business Association : Music @ Squiggle Park (corner of Gottingen/Falkland in Halifax). I’ll be playing some originals, covers, new tunes and more.

Come celebrate the life of Lou Reed (also: his birthday is Sunday, Mar.2) and the music of David Bowie on Saturday, March 1 4pm at The Company House. $5 cover. Local musician Nathan Pilon will play a Bowie solo set and I’ll perform some Lou Reed tunes covering his Velvet Underground/solo material. Shake off those winter blues with a nice matinee of tunes. (PS there is also a Facebook event). Pass it on.
PPS Forgot to mention, I posted a few Lou Reed/VU tunes over on the Soundcloud page
You can see an acoustic show on Saturday, September 21 at Cempoal Cafe, 2374 Agricola Street in Halifax (map). It’s a matinee, 2pm start. No cover. Drop in for a coffee, a snack and a preview of some new (to you) tunes.
*EDIT* Hey, this show was to be on September 13 but it has been pushed back to September 20. Same rules apply. I’ve updated the date and the time remains the same.
Here’s a neat idea sponsored by the North End Business Association : Music at Squiggle Park, on the corner of Gottingen and Falkland St. in Halifax (pic). Come for a walk, enjoy local restaurants (edna, jane’s next door, Food Wolf, Ratinaud and more) and hear me play some music on Friday, September 20 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm (weather permitting). No rain!

I’ll be providing some entertainment as part of Trenton’s Funfest kick-off ceremonies. The official start is the Mayor’s Tea and I’ve been asked to play a few tunes. Here are the details :
